Sensitive file on Heathrow security found beside road: "Police have launched an urgent inquiry into how secret counter-terrorist plans for the defence of Heathrow airport came to be found by the side of a road.

David Blunkett, home secretary, said that a dossier detailing sites vulnerable to missile attack, evacuation plans and police patrols appeared to be genuine.

The file, reportedly dated last month and valid until the end of the year, was found by a motorist near London's Heathrow airport and handed to The Sun newspaper."
